July is filled with a variety of events, ranging from culinary journeys through various regions across the globe to spotlighting local chefs and farmers in the province. For seafood-lovers, this season sees the return of the salmon, so don’t miss out.

Brewery and the Beast

Vancouver’s most celebrated food & beverage festival is back again! This year’s festival sees over 60 award-winning restaurants and renowned chefs serving up scrumptious bites. Look forward to amazing food from the likes of Alimentaria Mexicana, Elisa and Good Thief, and pair those with premium wines, specialty cocktails and craft beers. Chambar: National Belgian Day 2025

Chic Belgian restaurant Chambar will be celebrating National Belgian Day this year with a multi-course family style feast inspired by chef Nico Shuerman’s roots. Think succulent shrimp stuffed in juicy kumato tomatoes, braised eel paired with sorrel and fresh herbs and even a spit roasted pig with a sweet yet tangy kriek beer sauce. Of course, the post-meal sweet treat is a fluffy Belgian waffle topped with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce.

Steveston Salmon Festival

If May was the month of the spot prawn, July is the month of the salmon. Steveston celebrates the season with the 78th edition of their annual Salmon Festival, and this year promises great performances, vibes and, of course, lots of salmon. Check out the various food trucks selling snacks and refreshers, and don’t forget to stop by the festival’s iconic salmon bake, where you get to enjoy delicious filets cooked on a wood-fired grill.

False Creek Crab Fest

Carve out time in your schedule to check out this year’s False Creek Crab Fest. The annual festival is back for its third edition, showcasing the Dungeness Crab, a crab primarily found in B.C. known for its sweet and tender meat. Local chefs Vish Mayekar and Johnny Bridge will be cooking up a delicious crab boil, so come hungry!

‘The Bear’ Pop-Up Dinner at PICA

Season 4 of The Bear is finally out, and besides spending a whole day bingeing through all the episodes, check out the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts’ (PICA) third edition of its ‘The Bear’ pop-up dinner. This multi-course dining experience pays homage to the Emmy-winning FX series, with offerings such as a fluffy focaccia served with whipped ricotta and Calabrian chili for an extra kick and an agnolotti paired with preserved lemon cream.

Vancouver Craft Beer and Music Festival

Enjoy a whole day’s worth of craft beers at this year’s Vancouver Craft Beer and Music Festival. With more than 60 vendors across the province gathering for the festival, wear your loosest pants and prepare to knock back pint after pint while jamming out to amazing live performances. Pair your beers with some of the best wings in the city including DownLow, Jay Nok and Good Company — it’s sure to be a festival to remember.

Khatsahlano Street Party

The Khatsahlano Street Party is back again this year with an incredible lineup of artists like alternative-folk band Shred Kelly and Teon Gibbs. Food-lovers, feast on treats and delicacies from more than 50 local food trucks. Whether you’re inhaling a glizzy from Japadog or slurping down spicy laksa noodles from Kampong, this year’s party is sure to be one to remember.

Botanist Canada Day Celebrations

Celebrate Canadian flavours at Botanist and Botanist Bar this Canada Day. Taking place over one weekend, the popular restaurant will be serving up a variety of cocktails that spotlight ingredients sourced from across B.C. Sweet-lovers will enjoy the B.C. Sweetheart, where Copperpenny Gin meets juicy B.C. cherries and lemon juice, while fans of the Nanaimo bar can try a boozy version of this coconut treat that’s mixed with Northern Keep Vodka and Canadian whisky.

Wild Blue Long Table Dinner Series

Wild Blue’s Long Table Dinner is back again for its third edition. Think picturesque sights of the mountains in Whistler Village paired with an exquisite multi-course menu created by chef Alex Chen and executive chef Derek Bendig. Offerings include a chilled chawanmushi with charred sablefish, fresh wasabi and yuzu, as well as a slow roasted prime striploin with shishito peppers, maitake mushrooms and a creamy sesame miso aioli. Hoping for a boozy meal? Each course is paired with a glass of wine from wineries such as Martin’s Lane and Liquidity Wines.

Punchbowl Festival

If craft beers and wings aren’t your thing, how about cocktails and tacos? PNE Fairgrounds will also be hosting Punchbowl this year, where more than 250 spirits, cider and canned cocktails will be available for sampling. Enjoy bold and vibrant tipples with a variety of tacos, ranging from street-style tacos from Dos Amigos to the Japanese-fusion sushi tacos from Taco Nori. Each ticket comes with a souvenir tasting cup.

The largest Latin American festival in the Pacific Northwest is back again this year, with more than 250 performers and a food plaza with 20-plus vendors. Enjoy a culinary journey through Latin America, from Argentine empanadas to Peruvian ceviche and Brazilian feijoada. Sample a variety of local craft beers at the Beer Plaza hosted by Granville Island Brewing and Sol, or try the special Latin-inspired brews created just for the festival.

The 37th edition of the Caribbean Days Festival has returned once again this summer, celebrating Caribbean culture, music and, of course, food. This year sees Coquitlam’s very own Mariner Brewing Co joining the festivities, offering their signature brews such as the fruity Mundy Mango Ale and the crisp Lafarge Lake Lager to pair with Caribbean delicacies including a Trinidad-style dhalpuri roti.

Chambar’s monthly Apprentice Dinner Series spotlights a rising talent in the restaurant’s kitchen. Previous editions saw chefs Christopher Vega and Uddhave Neupane sharing their culture through curated multi-course menus. This month celebrates Chambar’s own cuisine, featuring Belgian-inspired dishes crafted by executive chef Mickael Kean. Dig into a crispy prawn croquette with an aromatic saffron aioli and a decadent beef tartare paired with pommes pont-neuf and crispy bacon.

Champagne lovers haven’t been forgotten during this season of craft beers—Lavantine Restaurant and Skybar is hosting a champagne-BBQ party on its rooftop patio this month, featuring tipples made with French champagne brand Veuve Clicquot. Ukraine’s national dish—the perogy— is getting a glow up this summer at this one-night-only collaboration dinner between Belgard Kitchen and Modern Perogie. CinCin Farm to Table Six Course Dinner

Take in the best of B.C.’s produce at CinCin’s one-night-only farm to table dinner event. Chef de cuisine Eddie Muñoz and pastry chef Gizelle Paré have curated a menu to feature local produce sourced from various farms across the province including Hannah Brook Farm and Black Table Farm. This six-course menu offers juicy wood-grilled peaches and plums with burrata and balsamic vinegar and a ravioli stuffed with ricotta and fermiere, paired with tomato passata and sungold tomatoes.
