Not even a week into 2024 and critics are already hailing the Japanese drama from director Hirokazu Kore-eda (Shoplifters) as one of the standout films of the year. If that didn’t pique your interest, it includes an introspective score by the late great Ryuichi Sakamoto so you know it’s bound to make you think or cry (or both!)
