Sixteen established Yaletown restaurants are set to showcase their innovative, specially priced menus for the Taste of Yaletown Festival.
The Taste of Yaletown festival is back for its 15th year!
From October 17th to 27th, 16 premier Yaletown restaurants are offering a special 3-course dinner for set prices of $35, $45, and $55, as well as small dishes and select drinks from their Happy Hour menu. For a limited time, guests can try unique food pairings from participating restaurants like Bistro Sakana, Little Saigon and The Greek By Anatoli.
My advice for any first time Taste of Yaletown guest would be to pace oneself and to come with a big appetite. This year, as a Taste of Yaletown rookie, I made the mistake of sharing two three-course meals…in one night. Over the course of three hours I devoured everything on the Flying Pig and Banter Room’s delicious, $45 menu. At the end of the night I was so full even the trusty old trick of waiting till the coast was clear to unbutton the top button of my pants couldn’t help.
But despite the overflow of food and the weeklong food coma, the evening was still a success. Banter Room delivered the meal of the night with their Spicy Glazed Pork Chops. The tender and fiery 10oz bone-in pork chops was topped off with a sweet BBQ glaze and came with a side of carrots, apples, broccolini and mashed potatoes.
