Coming Soon: Small-Plates Restaurant Ombré Is Surfing into Tofino This Summer

The team behind Wolf in the Fog is set to make waves this summer 2024 with a new room: Ombré.

As if you needed more reasons to make your way to Canada’s best (and only?) surf town, Ombré is slated to open early this summer in Tofino, and we’re betting it’ll be your new go-to apres-surf spot.

Named after those epic Tofino sunsets (and not that one hairstyle everybody had in 2014), the surf town’s latest foodie hot spot comes from two talents behind Wolf in the Fog—sous chef David Provencal is stepping up as executive chef and Eric Murdoch, seasoned in the bustling restaurant scenes of L.A. and N.Y.C., will be in the role of General Manager.

Positioned in the former SoBo, Ombré will dish out an array of seasonally inspired small plates, alongside a curated selection of wines and cocktails. Though there are no specific details available yet about what we’ll find on the menu, the spot is sure to make a splash among locals and visitors alike as a go-to hang in Tofino’s already stacked food scene.

“Our goal is to create light and balanced dishes that elevate the natural flavours of our ingredients,” shared Chef Provencal in a recent press release. Don’t miss out on the updates—follow Ombré on Instagram at @ombretofino as it gears up to open this summer.
